Community Outreach Event with NorCal SUP Grom

Join us for a community event hosted by NorCal SUP and SUP California, tailored especially for beginners looking to dip their toes into the world of stand-up paddle boarding.

We'll kick things off with a talk on beginner water safety. Don't worry if you're brand new to sport. We’re here to cover the essentials.

Next up, we'll cover self-rescue instruction. It's all about learning what to do and feeling confident on the water, even when things don't go as planned. We'll show you some handy tips and tricks to get you back on your board the easy way. Yes, you are going to get wet! Life vests and leashes are mandatory.

Once we've covered the basics, and if time permits, we’ll hit the water for a beginner group paddle, where we can practice a thing or two.

We highly recommend you join us if

- You're a total newbie to paddle boarding

- Would like to gain more confidence on your board

- Would like to learn how to get back on your board

Bring your board, paddle, life vest and ankle leash.
Plan to get wet and bring extra clothes.
We will meet at Beals Point, at the beach area on the left side of the parking lot as you enter.

This event is free, with 30 spots available. Registration required, click here.

State Park Parking fees apply, but free with a Poppy Pass.

See you there!
